Task rabbit doesn't insure or offer insurance for any losses you might experience during a task." So in layman's terms we hope you have a good experience we take ZERO action to ensure that and if a tasker destroys your home ……too bad.ģ) The customer service department is nonexistent. Their claim department stated, "We Have a Happiness Pledge to promote a great experience on the platform. They make it appear that you just need to give you credit card info to save your appointment time but in reality, they will charge this card for any amount the tasker says even if thousands over the quote you originally received.Ģ) They take ZERO reasonability for anything a tasker does while in your home. I am sure somewhere in very small print it states this is the process but it is not clear to the customer at all. Before you even get to see an invoice or are told what you are being charged for they pull the money directly from your back account or credit card. Whatever the tasker says is what you get charged, zero opportunity to dispute anything. The tasker sends an invoice to Task Rabbit, the customer never gets to see or approve this invoice. ![]() Here are the reason why you should not use this service.ġ) No clear pricing transparency- you are given a "quote" when you request a service, the quotes seem reasonable but in reality this quote means nothing. Before you even consider using this predatory service I hope you read this review and google Task Rabbit horror stories, there are so many of them and many much scarier than mine. I used Task Rabbit for the first and only time and I hope others can learn from my awful experience. Slow, but at least no one else will rip me off. I will do it 4 buckets a day until it is all out of my driveway. It's a lot of garden soil and rock to be moved. Not today people blow you off as a sucker for helping them succeed. We made part cash and part trades for equipment all the time with no problems. I am a recently widowed elder my husband and I worked remodeling and landscaping for 30 years. Only it was Easter.so once again I said spend time with your family and he agreed to show up this Tuesday 4/11/23. Benefit of the doubt I said stay home, take care of what you need to do and I would see him the next Sunday. I bought it.I had a beloved pet who died too and it was traumatic. I called and he gave me a sob story about his dog dying at the vets. He agreed, shook on it and he was to return the next Sunday. $300.00 One half he would work off finishing moving the dirt and rock to my back yard. He did the first half with no problem but because he didn't have a wheelbarrow, I offered to invest in his hard work and swing for a good wheelbarrow. I hired this fellow Taylor Corbit off of TaskRabbit to do some minor fix-it work, garden work and moving soil and rock to my back yard, from the driveway. HE DID A GOOD JOB, but MAKE SURE that you ask all sort of questions, and be clear on the most minute details. I protested but he refused to back down, and rather than having an angry man in my house, I just paid for it. So, In my estimation I was had for about 100 dollars (the unexpected 2 hour charge and the safety and trust charge). On top of that Task Rabbit has a mysterious charge for safety and trust of almost 50 dollars per visit. ![]() I was about to pay for one hour, when he explained to me that it was his minimum 2 hours, even though he had agreed to continue doing the project from the day before. He came and finished in about 30 minutes. But he was tired and said that I should set up another date. I needed a second unit to be done also, which should have been ONE hour. He then delivered within the estimated time. ANYHOW, I had him put together a drawer unit for the garage (I had estimated that it would take me about 2 hours). Once there, demand an estimate (and have knowledge of how long a task typically takes) or they would take all the time in the world, according to the very tasker that came to my house. I just want to warn you that there is no way to get an estimate from them till they get to your place.
